For those who have a lifelong interest in learning they will not be disappointed in all that Elliot Lake has to offer them. Learning in Retirement has been a welcome addition to intellectual life in Elliot Lake. With modest fees, no compulsory attendance and no academic requirements to participate students of all ages can attend workshops at their own pace. The instructors are all retirees themselves and bring their vast knowledge and experiences to all subjects taught. Subjects offered include Native Studies, Computers, astronomy, elementary French, current affairs, philosophy and creative writing. The group is always willing to accommodate other topics if there is sufficient interest among members.
